Workshops, Surveys, and Tours — Oh my! (Choosing the Right Engagement Tools)

Overview: With so much focus on specific tools and techniques, too often overlooked is the critical process of choosing the right engagement tools for your project. This course first sets the context with IAP2’s three pillars and anchoring tool decisions in a robust design, then digs into ethical and equity-centered criteria for choosing the right tools. Participants then work through a comprehensive selection framework, explore challenges and how to overcome them, and learn about the importance of evaluation and real-time change to meet stakeholder needs — and everyone leaves with access to a crowd-sourced set of online resources.

Duration, format: 3.5 hours virtually or in person

Costs: Depends on format and number of participants
