Client: Restorative Development Partnership, via Mississippi Watershed Management Organization as fiscal sponsor
Project: Consulting with this emerging partnership of government, private sector, and nonprofit entities formally exploring the feasibility of a systems model of restorative development that equitably optimizes environmental, social, and economic outcomes for future redevelopment in Minneapolis. Supporting progress on this c. $1M feasibility study that looks to advance these goals:
- Improved economy, workforce development
- Improved climate, air/water quality
- Improved health, nutrition
- More efficient, resilient, lower-cost energy
- Improved quality of life (equity, safety, housing, natural spaces, community engagement)
- Infrastructure that is cost-effective and has a positive return-on-investment; stable financials
- New, innovative development opportunities
Providing strategic planning and stakeholder engagement to frame the overall effort, including stakeholder mapping, logic modeling, outreach and delivery for convenings and workshops, goal/priority setting, and communications. Governance consulting includes overall Partnership process and structure, recruitment and membership, leadership development, and policies and procedures to advance both the partnership and the feasibility study.
