This project in collaboration with Tempo Creative was based on MnDOT’s commitment to effectively communicating with and engaging the full range of Minnesota’s diverse communities for design and construction projects, employment opportunities, and marketing MnDOT initiatives.
Through this project, we provided MnDOT staff throughout the state with the following key components:
- Comprehensive statewide demographic profile
- Statewide list of organizations, institutions, and media that serve communities of Color, new immigrants, and Tribal communities
- Rigorous web-based professional development course presented through six MnDOT-specific cases
Set throughout the state, the dynamic cases walked learners through contemporary demographics, connecting with relevant local organizations, and gathering input from community stakeholders on local transportation infrastructure issues. Once completed and piloted, the program was rolled out statewide.
